CRUISE OF WARSHIPS.

VISITS TO THE SOUTH. PORTS TO BE CALLED AT. AUCKLAND, February 2S. The three warships now attached to the New Zealand Division of the Navy, the Diomede, the Veronica, and the Laburnum, will all have left Auckland for 'a cruise in the south by the middle of March. H.M.S. Laburnum sailed at midday on Saturday, and is scheduled to carry out the following itinerary:— Arrive Lyttelton March 1, sail March 9. Arrive Wellington, March 10, sail March 21. Arrive Picton March 21, sail March 30. Arrive Napier March 31, sail April 7. Arrive Tauranga April 8, sail April 10. Arrive Hauraki Gulf April 11, and Auckland, April 13. The Laburnum will then remain in port until May, when she will leave for a cruise to the South Sea Islands. H.M.S. Diomede will sail on Wednesday for Wellington. She will leave Wellington on i March 11 for the Chatham Islands, which she will leave on Marell 15 for Timaru. She will leave Timaru on March 20 and arrive at Bluff on March 21. Her movements after reaching Bluff have not been announced. H.M.S. Veronica is to sail for the south on March 14, and she will be absent for nearly two months. Her itinerary is as follows:— Arrive Tokomaru Bay March 15, sail March 17. Arrive Tolaga Bay, March 17, sail March 18. Arrive Akaroa March 21, sail March 23. Arrive Dunedin March 24, sail March 31. Arrive Timaru April 1, sail April 4. Arrive Lyttelton April 5, sail April 8. Arrive Picton April 9, sail April 13. Arrive Nelson April 14, sail April 18. Arrive Wellington April 19, sail May 3.
