CONFERENCE CONCLUDED. NEW PLYMOUTH, February 18. The Grocers’ Conference was concluded to-day. Resolutions were passed expressing alarm at the greatly increasing business on hire purchase of luxury articles, and asking the Minister's consideration of legislation to limit it; also viewing as a. grave danger the excessive importation of motor cars, and such luxuries. Mr T. Sawyers (Auckland) was appointed delegate to the conference of British master grocers in England.
