RURAL CREDIT BONDS.
SELLING MACHINERY DEFECTIVE. , WELLINGTON, February 2. Speaking at the New’ Zealand Farmers’ Executive meeting to-day on the question of the sale of rural credit bonds, the President;(Mr W. J. Polson) said he was not . sanguine of good results being achieved by 'the Advances to Settlers’ Board in the way of sales, as they were not enthusiastidjafiout -the matter'. It wanted representation from the farming community on the board as a guarantee to the farming community that the thing would be properly done. There must be an enthusiastic >, attempt to sell them, 11 they were to be placed on sale at the post office, they might as well save the paper and ink. After a discussion,, the following resolutions were passed:—That the Government be asked to appoint a member on the State Advances Board to represent the interests of the persons engaged in the of primary products. ; That; the Government be asked to amend the Rural Credits Act to provide for the appointment' of a second member on the State Advances Board representing the rural interest*., ,
