PILLION RIDING.
BY-LAW TO BE PREPARED. WELLINGTON, February 3. “I am surprised that you have not a bylaw in Wellington prohibiting pillion riding. Such by-laws are in force, even in the smaller towns,” said Mr J. 11. Salmon, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, this afternoon, when he fined John W. Baker £1 for dangerous riding. “As s matter of fact,” said Mr J. Lockie, who appeared for the City Council, “instructions have gone through for the preparation of a by-law to that effect.”
