CHIROPRACTORS’ ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. The seventh annual conference of the New Zealand and Australian Chiropractors’ Association was held recently at Wellington. There was a record attendance of members, representatives being present from Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Hastings, Masterton, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Hawera, New Plymouth, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch; Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Invercargill. Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from members at Gisborne, Dunedin, Gore, and Winton. Mr. J. A. Scott, president, occupied the chair. The report showed that the membership was steadily increasing and was now higher than in any previous year. Eight new members were elected. One application for membership was rejected by the conference on the ground that the applicant had not completed the full course of study required by the rules. The President intimated that he had taken an active, part in the conference of British chiropractors held at London in June last, and mentioned that the gathering had entrusted . him with the work of registering the British Association in England, Scotland, and Ireland, under whatever Act ha deemed most suitable. Mr Scott was able to report that he had successfully completed, the registration of the British Association before his final departure from England. The following were elected officers for the year:—President and secretary, Mr J. A. Scott; vice-president, Mr J. P. Colwill; treasurer, Mr J. Craig: committee —Mrs Kemble Welch, Messrs T. Giles. A. Bryce> C. White-Parsons, and T. G. Kinney. During the day before and the day after the conference demonstrations were given of the neurocalometer, and of another recently invented instrument for locating and registering spinal nerve pressure. It was decided that the next conference should be held in Christchurch.
