BROADCASTING STATION.
ERECTION AT WELLINGTON. , WELLINGTON, January 18. The new and powerful radio broadcasting station to je provided in Wellington for the Radio Broadcasting Company is to be erected on >ne of the highest points in Roseneath, not far from the service reservoir which supplies that district with water, and contiguous to Mount Victoria. So far no start has been made with the work of erecting the building or the aerial, but land has been acquired which is sufficient for both purposes,' and an. early start will be made with the building operations. The plant will be erected by Messrs A. R. Harris and Co., of Christchurch. The new station is to be provided with a 30 K V A high voltage plant in addition to the power for broadcasting operations, and with such power it should be as easy to hear at Invercargill as in Whangarei. The city authorities will be called upon to provide one 5 h.p. threephase inductor motor for direct current, a generator, a 4 h.p. inductor motor, and one 3 h.p. inductor motor. It is expected that the new station will be ready about the middle of April.
