Edwd. Wutke was charged at Wellington man, so as to cause him actual bodily harm. The affruy occurred on the American steamer West Conob, accused inflicting a wound with a pocked knife in Trigueros’s thigh following a quarrel. The Subinspector said the injuries had not proved ns serious as was thought, and suggested a reduction of the charge to one of common assault. To this accused pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. He was ordered to be placed on board the ship when it sailed on Bator? day.
