EXHIBITION DIRECTORS.
A brief meeting of the Exhibition directors was held on July 8, Mr J. Sutherland Ross, C.M.G., presiding. There were also present Messrs C. Speight, C.8.E., P. Halsted. 0. Hayward, T. Somerville and H. F. Sincock. A communication was received from the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, stating that the matter of a refund on the insurance paid, on the members of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders’ Band had been arranged with the insuring company.—Received. The Town Clerk, Dunedin, wrote stating that the matter of the fencing at Logan Park had been considered by the City Council’s Reserves’ Committee, and it nad agreed to forego its claim to the fencing round the sports ground.—Received. The Secretary of the Court of Education wrote advising the appointment last year of Mr W. J. Morrell as a member of the Education Court Committee.—Received.
