DUNEDIN ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Dunedin Orchestral Society was held in the practice room last Wednesday evening. The president (Mr Geo. Mondy) occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of members. The annual report stated that four successful concerts were given during the season, which, it was thought, had helped to foster a love of music in Dunedin. The statement of receipts and payments showed a satisfactory credit balance, for which, owing to counter attractions during the year, the society was to be congratulated. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr Geo. Mondy ; vice-presidents—Dr Barnett, Messrs C. W. Rattray, C. Turnbull, A. Barnett, T. P. Williamson, J. A. Fothergill, J. S. Faulkner; treasurer, Mr A. A. Finch; auditor, Mr T. H. Thompson; oommittee—Messrs A. Jeffs, E. Kerr, H. F. Davie, H. M’Donald, D. Whelan: conductor, Mr Jas. Coombs; secretary, Mr H. H. Sykes.
