DAIRY PRODUCE AWARDS. (From Our North Island Correspondent.) The dairy produce exhibition at the Hawera Winter Show proved quite a feature of the show, and members of the Government grading staff, who officiated as judges, spoke eulogistically of the improved quality of the produce. The make was of a uniform character throughout, and the finish was all that could be desired. The full details of the awards were as follows: — In cheese classes points are awarded for flavour (column A, possible 50), body (B, 30), colour (15), and finish (5) (combined in column C, 20), giving a total possible of 100. Details are: Special Prizes. Henry Lane and Co. Challenge Cup, value £SO, presented by Messrs H. A. Lane and Co., of Tooley street, London, and awarded to' the maker scoring the highest points in classes for two white cheeses, to become the property of the maker winning the cup three times, not necessarily in succession; in addition a gold medal from the Dominion Dairy Show. —Hopelands (L.
