An amusing incident happened at Frankton Junction recently. Archbishop Averill left the Auckland train at Frank* ton Junction and had some lunch. He joined another train, and Archdeaoon E. M. Cowie handed him what he thought was the Archbishop’s hag. Shortly afterwards a commercial traveller came along and, in very expressive language, wanted to know who had taken his luggage. He opened a bag near the spot where he had left his own property and found that it contained the Archbishop’s robes. The Archbishop had been given the traveller's bag in error. The season has up to the present been one of the worst experienced by sports* men for many years (says the Christ* church Press), the reason being that the weather conditions have been all in favour of tho birds.
