GERMAN GOODS.
COMING DUTY FREE. CHRISTCHURCH, May 26. “German goods are coming into New Zealand without paying a penny of duty,” Mr E. H. Marriner said last night, when he addressed a meeting of ladies on the local industries movement. “Is that correct. Mr Marriner?” Mr H. Holland. M.P., asked. “Absolutely correct,” Mr Marriner replied. “I will take you to a place and show the goods to you.”
