At a meeting of the Westland Power Board proposals were put forward and approved for generating electricity to suply the district between Kumara and Hokitika following an application which had teen made for permission to reticulate this portion of tho district. It ig understood that a considerable amount of power will be used in connection with two largo mining venture) in the vicinity of Stafford.
