TRADE COMMISSIONER.

MR ELMSLIE TRANSFERRED. WELLINGTON, February 24. News has been received from the Department of Overseas Trade in London that Mr L. 15. Reale, Ills Majesty’s Trade Commissioner at Vancouver, has been appointed to succeed Mr Noel Elinslie as His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner in New Zealand. Mr Beale is expected to arrive in Auckland on April 2C. After considerable business experience, both In the United Kingdom and Canada, Mr Beale early in 1915accepteJ a position under the Government of British Columbia in its forest branch of the Deportment of Lands. In 1018 ho was engaged on a special mission to the United Kingdom and France as Timber Trade Commissioner for his Government, and In February, 1019, he entered Ilia Majesty’s Trade Commissioner’s service, being appointed to a post at Winnipeg. In April, 1923, his headqunrters were transferred to Vancouver, from which centre he continued to control the activities of trade commissioner’s post at Winnipeg.
