In the manufacturing district ot Erskinevale, Sydney, a new factory has been erected by the Gramophone Company, Ltd., of London, for the purpose of pressing “His Master's Voice” records for the requirements of the nublic in New Zealand and Australia. Tlie demand for these records has been increasing so rapidly a 6 to necessitate such steps being taken as will ensure a more constant supply than it has been possible to arrange for by importation, an as a result of this new enterprise the latest popular “hits” will be marketed here at or about the same time they are issued in the older countries. The new works arc equipped with the mo3t up-to-date machinery. We have been in voured with a copy of the company’s catalogue which contains the names of a very large number of the world’s leading artists and musical compositions, and some of the first pressings from the new record factory. Their Majesties,, the King and Queen, honoured “His Master’s Voice” with a Command to record their “Emt>ire Day Addresses to the Boys and Girls of the Empire.” and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, also recorded an address on • “Sportsmanship,” and these are acknowledged with thanks.
