GORE RACES. First Day—Wednesday, February 24. The Gore Racing Club's summer meeting opened in unfavourable weather. The track was heavy, but there were good fields, and interesting racing. The new electric starting barrier was used for the first time and worked satisfactorily. There was a drop in the gate receipts of £44 compared with last year.
