Corriedale Ewes 420 6-tooth crossbred Wethers bought in two years ago. The foregoing comprise the whole of the wether flock, the whole of the 1925 drop of wether Lambs, and rather more than the annual draft of Ewes. In future there will be an annual draft of all the Wether Lambs and surplus Ewes for sale. Wilden carries the leading high-country Corriedale flock in New Zealand, and no other Corriedales face such severe winter conditions and give such wonderful results in both mutton and wool. Such an opportunity to buy Sheep of this class off tussock rarely occurs, and should appeal to All practical pastoralisti with depleted flocks .due to the recent severe soring. The clip has for years brought the highest average pi .ee for Corriedale wool in the Dominion. The Wethers in largo lines ?&'e killed out frequently from 751 b to 901ljv'>r head. The Sheep have been line bi. for 18 years under the present owner. No other blood lias been used in studs or flocks than rams from the well-known Corriedale stud of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company at Moeraki. Chaiaoteuetios of th wool are length and freedom of staple, evenness, bright colour, and soft handling. The resisting power of this flock under the stern conditions prevailing is of great importance, and it has well earned its reputation throughout the Dominion {or great constitution, size of carcase, well clad, and heavy dipping. The Wethers were turniped as hoggets, and the Ewes have been turniped annually. Heavy culling has always obtained on Wilden, hence the older sheep have stood a harder test than the younger. The system of culling on Wilden is unique in high-country station management, and no sheep enter shearing pens without being Individually examined and ALL ages rigorously culled enabled happily by the fact that the 1 feeding country has been entirely devoted to the stocking of snow country. Buyers can got to the sale from Dunedin' in four hours by motor, or by taking the train to Heriot, reaching there about 1.30 p.m.j can be motored to the station in half an hour. Arrangements for cars to meet the train at Heriot will be made. Should incoming tenants or sheep fai •iners in the district be buyers it will be necessary for them to bring their registered brand and earmark to the salo to re-mark their purchases before they leave the yards. Facilities will be given purchasers who have to rail their sheep. The sale will bo held under the conditions usually applying to stock sales, and these conditions will be exhibited at the salo. It will facilitate deliveries if intending purchasers are armed beforehand with written agreements to pay from their financial agents or banker. Any inquiries addressed to Dalgety and Co. (Ltd.), Dnnedin { or the Manager, Wilden, Heriot, will receive prompt attention. LUNCHEON PROVIDED.
