The orchardists are just about getting into their stride in their packing operations for tiie season’s export trade. They started on early varieties of apples a fortnight ago (says the Hawke’s Bay Tribune), and to date 3500 cases have been railed to Wellington for shipment. Second earjies and mid-season varieties are maturing quiokly. and before long every packing shed in the district will be working at full pressure.
