A curiosity in the shape cf a yellow thrush was seen in the Owaka district the other day. One of the landmarks of the Vinton district, the old Awarua factory, is now almost demolished. The building was erected by Mr James Stobo, about 30 years ago, and operated by him as a proprietary factory. One of the best rowing sheds in New Zealand is being built for the Union Boat Club, Wanganui.
