C. J. LYNDE, MACDONALD COLLEGE, QUE. PJROV., CANADA. CHICKEN BROODER. The warm chamber of this brooder is heated by fresh air entering the end arms of a double U shaped pipe and passing through the centre arm where it is heated
before entering the chamber. On three sides of the chamber is a sill wide enough or one chicken to stand on and havino- a bevelled edge to prevent crowding. BROADCAST SEEDER. a n endless carrier the width of the machine receives earth which it dug up by scoop plates attached in tiont of its lower end. It elevates the
earth and throws it rearwardly over the seed which is broadcast by force feed from a series of spouts below the seed box. CHICKEN FEEDER. The sloping lids of this feeder have apertures through which the food is obtained. Interchangeable lids having aper-
tures of different sizes are provided to exclude chickens of a larger size than those the food is for. ATTACHMENTS FOR HEADERS. This attachment is devised for harvesting milo maize and Egyptian corn, when only the head of the grain is wanted. Its forward extending arms pick up the stalks
which pass through them, and the heads are drawn rearwardly to the lower feed reel which forces them on to the knives. DISK CULTIVATOR. In this cultivator the inner ends of both front and rear gangs of disks are moved by rods connected to the vertical pivot bar. By hooking the upper chain to the draw bar
they are flexed to working position. By hooking on the lower chain they are drawn into travelling position. LAND MARKER. The marking arms of this device are hung from laterally adjustable brackets at the rear of the carriage, and their outer
ends are attached to a rope which passes through arms at the front of the carriage. When one arm is dropped to mark out a row the other is pulled up bv the rope.
