A flower-bed near the Hamilton railway station, recently planted by the Beautifying Society, was robbed of dozens of plants and bulbs last Sunday night (states the New Zealand Herald). The footprints of the vandals were visible the next morning. The society has offered a reward for the apprehension of the offenders. A wireless plant has been installed at tile Waitaki Boys’ High School, and messages are being picked up clearly from America every night The children are drifting to dreamland away, Snuo- in their cots at the close of the day.
