The stud of Jerseys is entirely of the famous Hawkcsbury blood, all being brec from the notable Monopoly and Soumise families, famous for type arid heavy pro duction. Mr C. Goulter's imported stock figure largely in the pedigrees, as well ai the great butter-fat sires Soumise Majesty (sire of Soumise Tom, with three 7001 c butter-fat daughters), Grannie’s Knight, and Majesty’s Fox, etc. The stud is oi very high quality, and females previously sold are making great records in Taranaki. The Southdown stud, owned jointly by Messrs Goulter and Major Taverner, is a very high-class one. Only the very best stud rams have been used. Lambing com mences in August.
