"Wyndham is keeping up its reputation for prolific laying hens (comments the Wyndham Herald) .Some time ago a ben belonging to Mr W. I l ’. Bennetto laid three eggs on a certain Sunday. A hen belonging to Mr Thomas Bain has eclipsed this. By a coincidence, it began its freak laying on a Sunday, when it laid three—one hardshelled and two soft. Next day it l ested ; the third day it deposited two —a hard and a soft shell; next, one; the fifth day, two again—one hard and one soft. This is something to crow about; but experts will question whether the bird will keep up the paee.
