TOURNEY AT TIMARU. TIMARU, June 7. At a boxing tourney to-night Weston (Timaru) beat Ennis (Timaru), Andrews (Timaru) beat Lloyd (Oamaru); feather-weight—Vincent Parker (Seadown) beat Joe Stewart (Timaru); welter, Nelson (West Coast) beat Leckie (Dunedin); catch-weight, Eddie Parker (champion light heavy-weight) beat Paterson (Sydney), the latter withdrawing at the tenth round, after heavy punishment. At the commencement of the tourney Mr Watson, official announcer, made sympathetic reference to the death of Cyril Whittaker, and the large attendance stood in silence as a token of respect. In the Parker-Paterson bout the contestants took the ring wearing black sashes. CONTESTS IN AMERICA. NEW YORK, June 7. It is announced that Johnny Dundee has been matched to meet Criqui on July 30, and the Willard-Firpo fight has been fixed for July 12. CONTESTS IN AUSTRALIA. SYDNEY. June 10. At the Stadium two 10 round bouts were fought. George White defeated Jack Finney and Don Martin defeated Jemmy Ryan on points after lively encounters. MELBOURNE, June 10. Spargo beat Jerry Sullivan in the nineteenth round. It was a hot contest, the referee stopping the fight.
