The Feilding Acclimatisation Society is endeavouring to establish partridge coveys in the district, and, as stated in the report of a previous meeting, a quantity of eggs are being imported from England to bo hatched out here. The partridge is expected to do much better than the pheasant, and will offer better sport if onco well established.
