TELEPHONE CHARGES.
BLENHEIM, May 15. Replying to a question relative to the new telephone charges last right, the Post-master-general (tho Hon. J. G. Coates) stated that the matter of revised telephone charges and new postal rates would be dealt with either in the Governor’s Speech at the opening of next session, or in the Budget, probably in the Budget. He said the proposals would be interesting, and would concern everyone. He was unable to say anything further at present, but would add that as soon as the new telephone charges were fixed a reversion would be made to the system of half-yearly settlements. 1. _lx .3
