TIMARU WOOL SALE

TIMARU, February 5. The second wool sale of 1922-23 series was held to-day, yvhen 12,219 bales yvere offered. There was an excellent attendance of buyers, representatives being present from the Old Country, America, the Continent, and the dominion mills. The quality of wool, taking it all round, was excellent, the bulk being light in grease as a result of the comparatively cool weather during the last few months. The bidding was weaker than at the opening sale. Prices

for medium, halfbred, three-quarterbred, and piece wool showed a slight decline. Overseas representatives were not keen bidders, the dominion representativs being the keenest buyers.
