MONSTER BAND CONTEST

The above contest, to be held in Dunedin from February IS to the 24th, promises to be the biggest thing in band ocntests yet held in the dominion. The sum of -GI2OO is being offered in prize money, which is a record for Australasia. An excellent entry has been receiecved as follows: A GRADE. Kaikorai Band. Winton Municipal Band. Oamaru. 3rd Artillery Band, Dunedin. Christchurch Tramway Band. Runanga Municipal Band. Hastings Citizens’ Band. Masterton Municipal Band. Mataura Town Band. QUICKSTEP CONTEST. The contest will Ire held morning, afternoon, and evening in His Majesty’s Theatre, and the military display and quickstep competition will be held on the Caledonian Grounds on Saturday afternoon, February 24.
