Friday, February 2. (Before Air H. AV. Bundle, S.M.) Alleged Valueless Cheque.—Robert Thomaa Roberts was charged with, on December 15, at Rae’s Junction, obtaining £5 from John M'Nair by means of a valueless cheque.— In asking for a remand for a week, which was granted, Chief Detective Bishop said there were several similar charges pending. Unstamped Weights.—Sue Ham was charged with having in his possession unstamped iron weights. The case had been previously before the court.—Mr L. IX Browett, for the defendant, said that the weights ’ had been put in order. None of them were seriously wrong.— A fine of 20a was imposed, with costs (7s).
