IMPORTANT DISCOVERY
INFLUENZA GERM. ISOLATED. NEW YORK, February 3. The Rockefeller Institute announces that ■Jwo of its doctors—Drs Frederick Oates and Peter Olitzky—have succeeded in isolating the influenza germ. Experiments in antidotes and anti-toxin are now in progress. The germ is called Bacterium Pneumonsintes, because it weakens the lung tissue. It is so small that it requires to be magnified a thousand times before it is visible.
