REDUCED POSTAL CHARGES

MONEY ORDER RATES. PRIVATE MAID BAGS. In addition to the reductions (which come into force on February 1) in the cost oi letter postage and telegrams, reductions are also announced in the cost of money orders and the postage of printed matter. The price for money orders will be as follows : Payable in New Zealand: Id for each £1 or fraction thereof, hut with a minimum charge of 6d, plus a telegraph fee of Is if order is sent by ordinary telegram, or 2s if it is sent by urgent telegram. For a private communication for the payee, added to the official telegram of advice : Id per word if order is sent by ordinary telegram, or 2d per word if it is sent by urgent telegram. Undelivered printed matter prepaid Id that has been posted in New Zealand (id outside Zealand) and bears a special request for its return to the sender or is of intrinsic value, will be returned and charged additional postage of Id. Savings Bank telegrams will ice charged the same rate as ordinary telegrams 9d for 12 words (urgent rates, Is 6d).
