As the Rev. Father Howard was motoring from Milton to Balelutha on Sunday afternoon (relates the Clutha Reader), and as he was passing the Crichton corner, the front wheel of his car suddenly collapsed, with the result, that he _ was thrown out on to the roadside, sustaining a few cuts and bruises, but fortunately these were not of a serious character. Father Howard procured another car and continued his journey to Balelutha.
