RADIO EXPERIMENTS. EXPERTS VISIT LIGHTHOUSES. WELLINGTON, January 30. The Government steamer Tutanekai, on her periodical visit to the northern lighthouses, carried a party of experts from the Marine Department and the radio branch of the Post and Telegraph Department. These experts have been conducting experiments with the radio position finder in order to ascertain whether it would be suitable for use at the Three Kings. The Minister of Marine has received a radio message that the the tests have been very satisfactory. The message states that the claims which have been made regarding the radio directionfinder as an aid to navigation have been fully supported by results. This was particularly noticeable in the foggy conditions which prevailed for a time during the tests, but which did not affect observations made on the radio beacon station temporarily established on the Great King.
