REMUERA’S IMMIGRANTS.

OVER 260 ARRIVE. AUCKLAND, January 28. Over 250 immigrants arrived by the Remuera yesterday. They include 13 miners and a number of farmers, besides workers and tradesmen. There are very few domestics, none of this class being assisted. All the immigrants are assured of employment. There are 87 men, 75 women, and % children. For Wellington there are 20 men, 14 women, and 20 children, and for Lyttelton there are 12 men, 10 women, and 19 children. The vessel encountered a fearful storm in the Atlantic from December 20 to 23. and most of the passengers were prostrated and were unable to participate in the Christmas festivities. The southern quota left by a special train to-night.
