THE MINING INDUSTRY. STOP-WORK MEETING AT WAIHI. WELLINGTON, January 27. At the Waihi stop-work meeting on Saturday morning the Miners’ Union decided to accept the Arbitration Court’s recent award, and the men will resume work under normal conditions on Tuesday.

Messrs Belson (Australia) and Martin (Rotorua), angling at Awahou (Rotorua district), caught 35 splendid trout in four hours. One, a 10-pounder, was landed by Mr Belson.
