OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION

The annual meeting of the Otago Rifle Association was held in the Young Men’s Christian Association rooms on the 11th. The chair was occupied by Colonel E. R. Smith (vice-president. Lieutenant-colonel Boyne, Major Lampen, Major Fraser, Colonel Fredric, Colonel Moir, Captain Proudfoot, Messrs Onglev, Silvius. and the Mayor of Dunedin (Mr J. S. Douglas), council —one representative from each rifle club in the Southern Commarvd; secretary and treasurer, Mr M’Keich; hon. auditor, Mr Bannerman; Programme Committee—Colonel Smith, Messrs Silvius, Parsons, Bannerman, Mackie, M'Kenzie, Johnston, and the secretary. It was decided that the annual shooting meeting be held at Easter, the details to be left to the Programme Committee. The piize money for the meeting will by based on 100 entries, and the charge for ammunition will be 9d per packet.
