OTAGO RADIO ASSOCIATION
The Otago Radio Association held the second of a series of four experimental evenings on Saturday, when an open-air demonstration was given. The various items were transmitted from the Otago Radio Association’s rooms, Moray Buildings, on a 370-metre wave length, and were received at the new premises of the Radio Supply Co., Moray piece west. During the experimenting, which continued from 8 to 10 p.m.. a large num- * her of. people assembled- out-side the Supply Association’s building to “listen in” to the iiems which were reproduced by a magnavox. A Brown's Loud Talker was used in the room for the benefit of the many peoole, who, after waiting in a queue, finally got inside and were able to inspect the apparatus. The experiments were conducted by the Otago Radio Association, in conjunction with Dr Jack, who is at present in Queenstown. and Mr J. bis assistant, who is stopping at Pukerau. They are using one-valve wireless sets for the purpose of ascertaining the power and direction of the wave lengths sent out from Dunedin. Mr D. G. Mitchell, secretary of the Ota-go Radio Association, was in charge at the Association's room, and Mr N. Arundel supervised the receiving at the Radio Supply Company’s premises.
