Mr Barton. S.M., intimated at the Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui that few people realised how far-reaching the Arms Act regulations were. Even magistrates are inclined to overlook these regulations, as instanced in the case of a well-known S.M. who changed from one district to another and failed to notify the police that he had a firearm and had changed his address.
