In the old days when the Spectator was published in Wellington an earthquake caused such a violent oscillation of the office premises that the type used in setting the paper was thrown in hopeless confusion The “comps” were unable to restore order in time for publication, and the following day the paper appeared with an apology fiir its non appearance the prenous day
