One of (lie “oldest inhabitants” informed the Wynclham Herald that 36 years ago the late Mr James Maten harvested his crop of oats in the month of June. Tire weather had been continuously bad, so he did not cut it until a favourable opportunity offered to stack it as soon as it was cut. The yield was 60 bushels, and the sample quite a good one.
