TH YMES. October 3. George Brookes, a hov of 14 voar:-:, employed on u farm on TTauraki Plain, disappeared last Wednesday. Apparently ho walked to Coromandel, where he boarded a big launch and put to sea. The engine became useless, so he hoisted a sail. The police were informed, and set out in chase, and the boy was overtake n sail'ng merrily towards Auckland, having nearly crossed the gulf. Tin had eaten only a few biscuits in live days.
