CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS. LONDON, September 26. Contradictory reports are being received regarding the Serbo-Albanian hostilities. I Albanian advices state that the Albanians are heroically resisting attacks by the Serbian army south of Miridites. Tho enemy’s objective is Luria, a mountain commanding the Tiranna Plain, and i threatening tho Albanian capital, j Serbian reports assert that the Albanian reports of the fighting are without foundation, the object being to impress the League of Nations. LEAGUE OF NATIONS DEBATE. GENEVA, September 26. The Albanian delegates at a meeting of the Council of the League of Nations ; assert that the Serbs are concentratI ing a great force, ready to invade Scutari, i The Serbs are using poison gas. The j Albanians claim that they drove back the ■ Serbians, killing 57 Serbian soldiers and ■ four officers. I The League debated the matter, i M. Spalaikowitch, the Serbian delegate, made an angry speech, saying that the | Albanian statements were a tissue of lies. | No ultimatum had been sent to Albania. | The League’s Committee on Political j Affairs decided that the League could only take moral interest in the dispute as the I Council of Ambassadors was dealing with the question.
