MANAWATU SHOW, 1921.
As will be seen in our advertising columns, tho dates fixed for ihis event are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th November next, when another of the splendid exhibitions for which this association is noted may be looked for. Prize schedules are now available replete with a 'ong list of trophies and special prizes, in addition to the regular price money. The divisions are much the same as in the past, except that a section has been inserted in the purebred stock division for Red Polls, a highly successful breed of cattle serving both purposes, milk and beef. The Hereford division is to have a very distinguished visitor as judge this year in the person of Mr W. G. C. Britten, secretary of the English Hereford Herd Book Society, and another authority on the “white faces.” The horse section is going to have its exhibits in more comfort than in past years as the eommiltee has authorised the erection of a horse pavilion, which is well under way. and which should be ready bv show time. The equipment and grounds at Palmerston North will now be unexcelled in the Dominion, ensuring the continued popularity of this big event. The secretary is Mr W. T. Penny, and his address is P.O. Box f 5, Palmerston North. He will be pleased to supply any information to those interested.
