SAMOA.
ANNIVERSARY ( TibhBRATTONS. A l CTCLAN D, September 14. At Apia, Samoa. August 29 was celebrated as the anniversary of the hoistingof the British flag there. Wreaths were placed on the soldiers’ graves. Colonel Tate, the Administrator, held a reception for the Samoan chiefs. The flag - was raised at the Courthouse at Apia and a salute of 21 guns was fired. The Administrator delivered an address, in which he urged t'lo people to place all animosities in the background and pull together with a view to making the territory as happy as it was beautiful.
