At the annual meeting of the Southland Acclimatisation Society the Stock Committee reported it had received an application from Mr T. Telford, Balclullui, for permission to catch 12 wokas at Stewart Island for liberation in a bush on hi s < italic imomo estate, and it recommended that iho Minister be asked for the necessary permission. The committee’s recommendation was agreed to.
