LOCAL BODY LOANS. NORTH ISLAND WORKS. „ , WELLINGTON, June 30. Consent has been given lor raising a Si per cent loan of £60.100 by the Napier Borough Council for the purchase and mslahation of an -lectric power plant and Yofi'V’AND a!k! also a loan of tor the construction of sewers, sowerage works, and waterworks. Orders-m (ouncil which have been gazetted prescribe M per cent, as the rate of interest, that may be paid for tho following loans :—Master!, n, Borough Council, £3200 for drainage .x----bf ns l?ii works: Waipau Count v Council, £6500 for roadmaking and repairing machinery ; Rangitikei County Council, £20.000 tor road making, bridges, and machinery Plant; Dargaville Borough Council, £5833, lor improvements and the nurehase of machinery. The following loans at 6 per cent, have been authorised : —Sumner Borougn (.ouncil, £s2so, for extension of gasworks; and the Onehuuga Borough Council, £SOCO, for concrete road formation. The Auckland Harbour Board has boon authorised to raise at i>2 2 er cent, a loan of £150,C00 for harbour works.
