THE PROPOSED NEW HARBOUR AT WAIKOIKOI, EAST COAST, NORTH ISLAND. Members of the Waiioa Harbour Board believe the proposed harbour will serve a larger district than Marion. In the inner basin it is proposed to construet wharves, etc., along' the base of the rail. Mr A. Simper, who designed tire works, and is in charge of the construction works, intends to divert the Areaur on the left to prevent silting, by means of a tunnel leading through the high cliff marked with an arrow, and discharge tire water outside the bay.
