CURE OF CANCER
SURGICAL TREATMENT SUPERSEDED. LONDON, June 25. That it is possible to cure at least 80 tier cent, of cases of cancer is the remarkable claim of the authorities at the West of London Hospital for a new X-ray apparatus which was recently installed. It is the invention of Bavarian radiologists, and employs rays of a wave-length hitherto unattained. The statement has aroused the greatest interest among medical men. A special demonstration is being held to-day. The hospital authorities are enthusiastic. They consider that surgical treatment will be out of date. The new treatment is painless, and patients while undergoing it are able to read, smoke, or converse.
