AYe have received a copy of Iho British Engineers’ -Association’s Official Directory of Members for 1921. One of its features is ail exhaustive classification of engineering products into 51 groups and 631 seel ions. r I here is a standardised form of members* announcements, each giving a complete alphabetical li-t of their principal products with brief particulars of their specialties. This information should be of real practical use to the enquirer. Another feature is an alphabetical index of engineering products containing nearly 2000 items. Previous issues have been tit the French. Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian languages, but the new series will be in the English language only, 'j he directory should prove of value and assistance to those dealing in the products of rite engineering trade, and should serve as a propaganda for British engineering generally. \\ e have received a bundle of monthly publications through Messrs Gordon and Gotch, including the Strand Magazine, Aussie, and Ilarm-worth's Home Dressmaker. and Iliirmsworth's Children's Dress. A feature of the Strand Magazine for •Time is an article by Madame Tetrazzini, the _ famous diva giving some of her reminiscences. “Yen" Adventures of Four .lust Men.” by Edgar Wallace, a>e interesting: and P. G. Wcrlehotise has an amusing account of how golf was introduced into the Oriental Kingdom of Com. X. I). Xewlon. in ‘‘Air Trail.” tells the story of an exciting tight in the air. There are also short stories by 11. C. M'Xeile (“Sapper”), Poland I’erwce, and others. Particulars arc given of a series of prizes totalling £SOO offered for ideas. The specimen copy of Aussie, the cheerful monthly, is of the Easter number. This publication made its first appearance in France near the front, and since the armistice has been continued in Sydney. It is understood that most of the contributors and artists were members of the A.I.F. and tile publication is a credit to all concerned. The contents are mainly of a humorous and cheerful type. The innumerable cartoons, skits, sketches, etc., are decidedly amusing, and show that talent in '■his. line was superabundant among the Australian forces. Harmswonh s Tlome Dressmaker and TTarmsworth s Children's Dress are full of illustrated samples of dress and fashion, and with each is given some paper patterns of some "of the dresses shown.
