PAPER MONEY, as a two-year-old, won the Granby Plato at Newmarket (where the races were held during the last year of the war;, by four lengths from 17 others. He won the Plantation Plate at the Newmarket First July Meeting, carrying 9st; at the Second July Meeting he tvon the Thurlow Plate, starting at even money and carrying 9st lllb; at the Newmarket Third Extra Meeting he won the Redmere Nursery Plate, carrying 9st- As a threa-year-o'd he ran second to lie in the March Stakes, and was third in the Derby, beating such horses as Sir Douglas, Dominion, The Panther, and a number of others. After stumbling at Tattenham Corner ho led until three furlongs from home, carrying the field along at a great pace in the 6econd fastest time that the race has ever been run. Pie also won the Midsummer Stakes at Newmarket, and had a walk-over in the Dullinghain Plate. Ten mares will be taken at Fifty Guineas each, to include feeding and grazing; groom's fee, one guinea.
